The Delaware Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (DEVOAD) is the state counterpart to, and a member in good standing of, the National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (NVOAD). DEVOAD is an autonomous organization with all the rights afforded thereto; however, as a member of the National VOAD it recognizes and complies with the policies and practices set forth in the membership agreement and policy documents of the National VOAD.
NEXT MEETING: The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm in the training room at DEMA, 165 Brick Store Landing Road, Smyrna, DE 19977. Lunch will be at noon.
NOTICE TO MEMBERS AND PARTNERS: Gleaning For The World has blankets available for use for homeless or disasters. These blankets are made from both wool and other recycled fibers and are made for short term use. The recipient must be pre-approved and must agree not to sell them or send them outside of the United States. In addition the recipient must be a 501(c)3 or a church and be responsible for all shipping costs or pick them up at our warehouse in Concord, VA. Approximately 4992 blankets will fit into a normal 53 ft. shipping container. They are new, individually wrapped and packaged 12 per box.
